The Town of Fairfield and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce are pleased to co-sponsor the 2013 Fairfield Sidewalk Sales Event which will be held, rain or shine, in Fairfield Center on Saturday, July 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Select merchants will offer a preview of sale merchandise on Friday, July 26th.
More than fifty Fairfield businesses are expected to participate in this year’s event, setting up stands and offering a variety of merchandise for sale along the Post Road from the Heritage Square Shopping Center to the Promenade at the Brick Walk. Admission is free.
Sherman Green will feature activities for children and families, where a climbing tower, a slap shot hockey contest and dunk tank sponsored by Letarte Swimwear and the Ludlowe Girls Swim Team are all planned. Activities will also include a visit by “BB”, the Bluefish Mascot, and “McGruff”, the Crime Dog as well as face painting by “Put on a Happy Face”.
This year’s event will feature live musical entertainment at multiple venues scattered throughout the downtown. Musicians will be playing from 11 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm at venues set up at the Brick Walk, at Sherman Green, in front of the Community Theater, near the Fairfield University Bookstore and on Donnelly’s Walk.
