I went on a tour of the Fairfield Public Library with Karen Ronald, Head Librarian, earlier this week and snapped this photo. I admit to being a little biased when it comes to the library, but I would challenge anyone to disagree when I say the Memorial Room is a true gift to our community. Its walls literally resonate with the history of our town’s founding fathers, each panel a tribute to soldiers who fought for our independence. Every meeting, concert, gathering and celebration in this room always reminds me of how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful community. If you have not had the opportunity to visit, it is located on the second floor of the main library – just ask a librarian if you are unsure where to go.
This is truly an amazing room AND library. We are all so fortunate to have a town that understands the importance of an outstanding library for it’s residents!
I attend a career boot camp in this room frequently and am often distracted, in a good way, by the names and maps on the walls. It is especially meaningful if you have ever taken the historical walking tour of Fairfield given by the Fairfield Museum.
