In case you did not know…I LOVE the Fairfield Public Library. When I was really young, I would talk the librarians into letting me take out more than my “quota” of books for the day. I remember way back when the Children’s Library was the new section (the first time!) In middle school and high school, I would walk to the library with my friends to work on homework and study for tests (it was helpful that the reference librarian was one of my teachers.) As a parent, I have spent many hours with my boys enjoying the resources the library provides to young and old alike. I remember when the digital library was introduced and you could “check out” e-readers. We started with only 75 electronic books. That number has grown to over 17,000 e-books, audio books, magazines and videos.
The library has so much to offer which is why many of my posts center around the activities inside and outside of the library – from Mini Golf, to Literary Luncheons, to author events like One Book One Town. In fact, the library is so important to me that I have been been a board member of the Friends of the Fairfield Public Library since 2008!
